Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht
RSCA had been using a 4 year old LED perimeter system that was out of warranty and had been experiencing a number of failures of pixels and the perceived quality of the image was degrading. In addition the club are regulars in UEFA European club competitions and needed to comply with the latest UEFA UCL LED guidelines.
RSCA Commercial Director, Bert Van Der Auwera invited us to consult on defining the complete digital needs of the stadium. This not only included the installation of a new UEFA compliant perimeter system, but also the potential replacement of the existing ribbon board, two new giant screens inside the stadium and investigating the creation of a fan zone with LED screens outside the stadium.
Using our 5D process, we defined the specification of the perimeter system, the ribbon board, and the two giant screens and also advised on how to potentially re–purpose the existing LED ribbon board into a screen for the fan zone. The RFP was then developed and sent out to a number of manufacturers, who expressed an interest in the complete tender, i.e. not just the perimeter, but fulfilling all the digital needs of the club. We arranged a 'shoot out' demonstration between the three preferred candidates at the stadium to decide the winner, and then advised RSCA on the delivery and testing of the product.
Other consultancy case studies:
“To use a non-Belgian company to conduct this process was something of a leap, however OMM came highly recommended from UEFA and they certainly delivered on that recommendation. RSCA feel assured that we have conducted a thorough and professional process and that we have chosen the most appropriate company to supply us with our LED digital needs.”
